About Myself
Hi! My name is Laura. I live in the Netherlands together with my husband and our two children. I graduated as a pianist and electrical engineer at the University of Costa Rica. Later, I followed doctoral studies in electrical engineering at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Since then, electrical engineering has been my main professional field. Throughout these years, I've remained connected to music as a private piano teacher, teaching children and adults. Since 2020, I've been exclusively teaching my nieces and playing music with my sons. I am currently working on different projects, going from recording neo-classical music to interpreting classical and contemporary music. I hope you can perceive the love and respect I have for music in each of my music videos and tracks.
My Repertoire
I love classical music; therefore, classical music will always be part of my repertoire. I particularly enjoy playing Bach, Brahms, Chopin, and Debussy, but my music interests expand beyond those four composers. In recent years, I’ve gotten more interested in playing music from contemporary composers and less-known composers from earlier periods.
A couple of years ago, I also got attracted by the idea of playing original neo-classical music. I collaborated with my husband, composer José Mora-Jiménez (contemporary, neo-classical, and music for media), and we released our neo-classical extended play record (EP) called Reminiscence (more about this record below).

Reminiscence
Reminiscence is my first extended play record (EP). This is a collaboration project with my husband, multifaceted composer José Mora-Jiménez. The making of this first release was a beautiful journey in which we put our heart and dedication. During the process, we were able to work together with fantastic professionals, including dancers, a graphic designer, a make-up artist, a photographer, and a filming crew.
Reminiscence is the result of a creative and replenishing year for us. We hope you enjoy the music as much as we do!
